* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Where's the Flow in This? Listening to NPR
yesterday, I was dismayed to hear details about the energy bill that our President is about to sign. The universe produces a reaction for every action, and the repercussions of this bill send shivers through my spine. Big business will benefit from the bill, but the environment will not recover. Oil companies who were encouraged (through fines) to find alternative, clean-energy solutions will now receive billions to
continue current practices (after announcing huge earnings this year). Fossil-fuel producers who owe fines for dumping or destroying the environment, are forgiven and will continue dumping and destroying.
This is largely because the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is one of the predominant abusers, and (as law is stated today) owes large fines to the government. The energy bill pardons them. An energy
producer on the Delaware River kills two billion fish a day (they stopped counting). In addition, the United States walked away from talks at the world conference on the environment because we don't want to stop being
the largest consumers on the planet and we wonder why other countries scorn us. I apologize for this bleak discussion in a celebratory holiday season, and it is the largest retail season of the year. Feng
Shui is about flow (in and out) and being energy and environmentally responsible. Please challenge yourself and others to be more conscious in practices to buy, invest, employ, build, vote, and especially consume. One way is to support socially and environmentally-responsible businesses. When you work with green companies, you support communities for a healthier tomorrow. reflect on blessings, faith, family, and the future. The earth isn't renewable, and future generations depend on us taking appropriate actions today. Here are a few suggestions:
- Instead of wrapping paper, use reusable fabric bags
- If using wrapping paper save large, used pieces for another gift
- For large gifts, use a tablecloth that will continue to function
- Check with your post office for letters to Santa…and help a family in need
- Give gifts that can save a life (emergency car kits, salt blocks for animals)
- Use the sports page for athletic people's gifts
- Use the comics section for fun-loving people and children

Question of the Month Question of the month: "I'm a little confused. Some books and instructors say face good directions; some say have them behind me. Which is it?" Different
methods of Feng Shui implement different practices. I want good directions behind me. Think of it this way…do you want family and friends protecting your back, and see adversaries approaching; or do you want enemies

Administrative and public relations help needed. Need to be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Will perform research, compile data, and schedule appointments. Work hours and location are
flexible. These aren't salaried positions at this point, but will consider barter for services. My desire is to build a great company…one that's a joy to work with and for. A Wang Shan/Wang Shui structure
