Superstition? I think not!

Tim Welsh, from Meyers-Welsh architecture and design (link is on my web site), sent an article from an architectural magazine showcasing the benefits of using Feng Shui. In addition to a professionally-done Feng Shui'd building being a great marketing approach, we're entering a time when people will seek harmony like never before! As you saw from last month's newsletter, we are recognizing what the Asian's have known for centuries… Feng Shui makes a difference!

We are now in Period 8 (2004-2023). A time of the earth mountain means a time of stillness. Integrity, harmony, and spirituality become priorities. That we're coming into the Age of Aquarius (time of truth) only confirms this. It may take a little time as we settle into Period 8, but bringing balance to our life (home, business, and with Mother Earth) is something we'll focus on (rather than busy-ness and money).

Earth people (determined by one's birth date) will experience an exceptional time if they are in balance. Healing of all forms will be revolutionary!

The Feng Shui New Year started on February 4. By the 9th of February, I'd been apprised of eight deaths (two in my family), several accidents and illness. People are experiencing lapse of memory, job loss, health issues, lack of focus, trouble sleeping, and difficulty doing much of anything. Does any of this describe you or someone you know?

Still there are good aspects to look forward to. We can choose to worry, or take an active, transformation role to find enjoyment now rather than later. Don't let procrastination get the best of you. Feng Shui can be a predictive art and can be interpreted as superstition or worse. Whether you are a believer, skeptic or critic, Feng Shui results speak for themselves. Feng Shui is not superstition, but a scientific study of visible and invisible life forces (energy). It is certainly not a cure-all. It is an agent of change.

Question of the Month

Question of the month: "Why do some say the Chinese New Year was January 22, and others say February 4?"

January 22 is one form of the Chinese New Year, and is based on the lunar calendar. It's about celebration and festivities. February 4 is based on the solar cycle (365 days) and the seasons. I hope this clarifies why the Chinese New Year is "celebrated" in January, but Feng Shui uses February.
Thanks for your question Michele!

Honoring Ourselves and Others

During March there are observances for American Red Cross, Anonymous Giving, Brain Awareness, Deaf History, Ideas (International), Listening Awareness (International), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Collision Awareness, Common Courtesy, Companies that Care, Genealogy, Forgive Mom and Dad, Hug a GI, Multiple Sclerosis Education & Awareness, Kidney and Nutrition Awareness, Lips, Professional Social Work, Talk to your Teen about Sex, Women's History, Write a Letter of Appreciation, Optimism, Organize your Home Office, Poison Prevention, Procrastination, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Rosacea, Severe Weather Awareness, Sleep Awareness, Solidarity against Racism & Racial Discrimination, Spiritual Wellness, Spring Fever, Universal Human Beings, and more.

Clients attest to positive Feng Shui influences toward many of these efforts. Join us in experiencing them too!

A couple of observances that I didn't want to get lost in the list are World Day of Prayer on March 5, Dream 2004 Day on the 11th, Great American Meat Out Day 20th, and As Young as You Feel Day 22nd.

If you have a women or men's group, dinner event, or want to host a Feng Shui brown-bag lunch to honor coworkers or an observance…let's schedule something. People find the topic fun and interesting. Share your abundance!

For those of you who celebrated or will celebrate birthdays or special occasions, best wishes to you!

A testimony: "I love reading all the input at the AOL group that you host. I also love reading all the information & tips at IntuitiveConcepts.com. I find myself looking up a lot of stuff on Chinese culture, architecture & traditions, etc. It's all very interesting & quite fascinating. I really like your approach to Feng Shui, it's very realistic & not about having to spend a lot of money to make changes. It's obtainable for everyone, not just rich people (not like a lot of other things). There are so many gimmicks out there today & even genuine things that do some good, but people take advantage & make it out of reach for the average person. Your Feng Shui is honest & there for everyone who is interested. I really like that!" Cathy from Australia

This month's feature (original jewelry by designer, Ginny Neumann) will make a great St. Patrick's Day gift, or for Spring and your lucky-charm friend. Ginny's jewelry is mostly one-of-a-kind. I have a set of necklace and earrings that was appraised for more than $500!

This carved serpentine butterfly measures over 1-3/4" wide. Elements in this piece are earth, metal, water, and wood (via composition, color, or shape). $66 plus tax and shipping.

Resource Recommendations

The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown was recommended by Tracy from Ohio. It's an eye-opening (and controversial) mystery about balance/imbalance, power, yin/yang, and more. Is what we've come to know as the truth, the truth? As we move into Period 8, and our search for integrity and spiritual evolution, this is a must read!

If you have a book, verse, or music that you'd like to recommend please send me an eMail. Time permitting, I'll review it and pass along your generosity.

Gain more insight and obtain free Feng Shui tips through an AOL group Classic (Traditional) Feng Shui. It's the largest Feng Shui group on AOL, hosted by yours truly. Join and opt to receive free information (questions and answers) generated by group members. Photos, a chat group, and other benefits too. ***PLEASE NOTE that our group is now at Yahoo - Join the Classic Feng Shui Chat Group***

Tip of the Month

Tip of the Month: Clutter - Instead of planning an afternoon to tackle the garage, basement, or a room, take 10 minutes a day. You'll experience progress, and are more likely to keep working at it (rather than procrastinate).
