Tip of the Month
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Gardening Do you have Spring fever yet? Flowers and trees are blooming. The grass is green. Tax season is
over. Ah, life is good. Think twice before complaining about dandelions--they represent strength! Many plants have good energy in Feng Shui: Bamboo, lilies, daisies, lotus, orchids, peonies, and more.
Color, shape, and characteristics help to determine where they should be planted. Bonsai, while beautiful, is not considered good Feng Shui. The art of stunting the growth of the tree stops its natural
flow. There are beautiful bonsai that date back thousands of years. Their care passes through generations, so this Feng Shui view is questioned by many. If you're thinking about a vegetable or herb garden,
there are guidelines on how to approach this too. As an example, our vegetable garden is in the SE. We enclosed raised beds into a rectangular fence (SE=wood). See this month's article for more about this.One of my concerns is with the environment. We
need bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, bats, and other pollinators for flowers and fruits to survive. Chemicals, pollution, and even our own misconceptions about these nature helpers are causing their decline. So while I head outdoors to complete our landscape plan, I'm send you loving Spring-like thoughts! P.S. In case you are wondering, I didn't send an April newsletter. Would it be beneficial to wear on a job interview?" This is a
timely question. I just spoke with Meg Lundstrom, a free-lance writer for First for Women Magazine, on this very topic. Each of us are born as an energy pattern (fire, earth, metal, water, wood). These five
elements have characteristics such as color, shape, and content ( see this month's article). As an example as an earth person, jewelry that is made from the earth (stones and crystals) help your energy. Colors that give you energy are fire (red, pink, purple) or
earth (yellow, tan or brown).Jewelry that is square shaped honors you as an earth person (nurturing). Also wearing your Chinese astrology symbol (such as a rabbit or ox) acknowledges traits of that animal
(a show of honor). How does this type of jewelry help one attain their goals? To begin with you're acknowledging who you are. Love begins at home (love thyself). This increases self-esteem and confidence.
That our element colors, shapes, and content increase our energy, we're more likely to attain goals (if they are realistic). Yin and yang come into play as well. Yin is quiet, female energy. Yang is active,
male energy. Some elements are yin and others yang. We're more likely to make an impression at a job interview when displaying yang characteristics (depending on the job of course), although a balance of yin/yang is
best. There are some of the reasons I'm blessed to work with Ginny Neumann. We collaborate on beautiful Feng Shui jewelry. I had Jared's Jewelry appraiser look at a necklace and earring set that I bought
from Ginny. The value is four times more than I paid for it! There are Feng Shui guidelines to dress for success that include jewelry, materials, patterns, textures, and more (I have a workshop on
this). So yes, jewelry that is appropriate for the occasion is helpful for a job interview (and if it isn't-wear it where it can't be seen). Have fun with self-expression, and thanks for the question, Theresa. Return to top.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Honoring Ourselves and Others A testimony: "We took your advice on energy days for our wedding. Our planning went
well, families got along, and our honeymoon trip was lovely. We felt safe knowing the energy was right. You were with us in spirit, Diana, and we thank you." Italians living in Venezuela Bill Mitchell,
renowned psychic (currently helping police on a murder case), will refer Feng Shui needs exclusively to yours truly. I'm so honored! If you have a women or men's group, dinner event, or want to host a Feng
Shui brown-bag lunch…contact us. People find the topic fun and interesting. Share your abundance! For those of you who celebrated or will celebrate birthdays or special occasions, best wishes to you! This month's feature (original jewelry by designer, Ginny Neumann) is a wonderful Mother's Day gift, or for that special someone. Ginny's jewelry is mostly one-of-a-kind. Her jewelry has been appraised at
triple or more its cost! The oval length of these earrings is 2.25". They are exquisitely made with pipestone, turquoise, lapis, poppy jasper, and bronze. All elements are covered via composition,
color, or shape. Price is $96 plus tax and shipping. Return to top. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * What's New or Different?

Tip of the Month Plant bulbs on a full moon and they will do exceptionally well. Due to my schedule, I'm not able to dig bulbs up each year in the fall. Bulbs that we planted during a full moon come up
each year and multiply very well (so we can share with friends or use them elsewhere). Return to top.~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
