When I returned from the funeral and attended an event, a stalker took a liking to me. We've taken several security measures including obtaining a post-office box, per police advice. When we moved from the Marion office, we temporarily set up in my home. If you have a home office, don't put the address on your marketing materials. If you didn't pick up the hint - we're looking for office space.  Our goal is a stand-alone facility or someplace where we can influence landscaping and the Feng Shui of the entire building. 

If you recall, this is the year of the dog and I'm a dragon (opposites). So I anticipated a challenging year. That's not a statement of truth/destiny, but a statement of what might be. I overheard someone say 'Where's her Feng Shui?'. How interesting! When does good Feng Shui prevent life from happening? Hopefully, never - we will all continue to experience births/deaths, joys/sorrows, yin/yang. However, Feng Shui does help minimize risk and maximize results. And, I do feel safe and secure in my home. It's not what happens - but how we respond that creates character. Things can be a bit overwhelming at times. However, all is well. Thanks for your support. I have hope for the future, faith in God and human kind, and the love of family and friends.

A sense of humor also helps. Thanks to Cynthia <www.OrganizedSpace.net > for sending this. A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said "You should do it because you get up first.  Then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said "You're in charge of cooking around here so you should do it because that is your job.  I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies "No, you should do it. Besides, it says in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says.........."HEBREWS."

So how are you enjoying this heat? This is a hard wood and fire dog year. Hard wood produces thunder. How many severe storms have we had? Also, wood feeds fire. That helps to enhance heat and resulting fires. Are we on target?  This leads me to a movie - don't walk, but run to see it as soon as possible!

It's An Inconvenient Truth < www.climatecrisis.net>. 2005 was the hottest year we've had in over 650,000 years. This year is also a doozey, and this trend will continue if we don't act. The trend is called global warming. What does this have to do with Feng Shui? Classic Feng Shui works with the environment, starting with geography, then buildings, then us in the space.

Glaciers are rapidly melting. Within five years, the Greenland glacier may be gone. This has and will continue to result in oceans rising and reduced land mass (displacing 100 million people). I think of the people and animals that are already loosing their natural homes. Displaced people means refugees. Katrina showed us how well we're dealing with that. Even worse, the ocean circulation engine will stop circulating creating an ice age. This threat could make life unsustainable, at least on earth's surface.

Out of 968 peer-reviewed articles written by scientists, ALL say global warming is occurring and there's data to back this up. The media would have you believe that scientists do not agree about global warming, but that's just isn't true. It's time to push for and use sustainable and renewable resources; and, reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.

We can change the future with our energy consumption and positive willpower. Instead of thinking that you're giving up a lifestyle (loosing something), think of what you are leaving/gaining - a better legacy. We are what we think. Use your energy to create more joy and peace in the world. Whatever you think and feel is amplified millions of times energetically. The earth absorbs this energy and disburses it. What we put into the world comes back to us ten fold. Negative energy in the earth and our atmosphere contributes to global warming. So think beautiful, cooling, joyful thoughts; and, you will help the earth to heal itself.

Start a gratitude journal. At the end of each day write down at least one action that you're grateful for - something you or someone else did. Did you say 'thank you' to that person; or, tell yourself 'good job'? Abundance attracts abundance, and psychologists will reinforce that rewarding good behavior creates more of it. Pay it Forward is a good movie about that. Wouldn't the world be a better place if there were more joy and appreciation?  In this newsletter there are many ways that you can assist Mother Earth.

Yes, it does make sense. As an example, we evaluate particularly good days and try to book important events accordingly (personally, and for clients or speaking engagements). We also have commercial and residential clients who love our date analysis. People have married, traveled, made business decisions, kicked off marketing campaigns, invested, gambled, schedule surgery, medical appointments, hair cuts, cosmetic procedures ... you name it, based on this data. All of the feedback we've received is very positive. One commercial client said that their last open house (scheduled on a good energy day) was the best open house they ever had. It's an investment in one's future and produces maximum results with minimum effort.

• Recycle and encourage others to do the same. Plastics (beverage bottles, dry cleaning bags, disposable diapers, etc.) never decompose and are taking over land fills.
• Consider hybrid vehicles.
• Purchase fuel-efficient light bulbs. Compact fluorescent bulbs are more costly up front but will save $60-80 EACH in energy costs. If every household replaced at least five light bulbs, the U.S. will reduce energy costs by millions.
• Unplug appliances and computers when not in use. Anything plugged in pulls electricity, even cell-phone chargers.
• Find out what you can do to influence global warming. One person's actions can have a dramatic effect.
• Four trees per person per month are required to offset carbon monoxide, other bad gases we're producing, and clean up our water sources. American Forests will plant them for you (and know which tress are suited for each locale) for a small donation. Consider this as a gift to our children and grandchildren. We did not inherit this planet from our ancestors; we are borrowing it from our children and grandchildren. Today's actions, or lack of them, will impact them the most. On 8/8 we begin an 8 Ken/Gen (earth) month, in a 3 wood year (2/4/06 – 2/3/07), in an 8 earth cycle (2004 - 2023). This energy runs through 9/7. This energy is good for money but also increases the potential for difficulties with pregnancies and injury to limbs.

This period is a time when we need to consciously evaluate our actions. Choose love over fear, patience over anger. Fear is self defeating and it feeds upon itself. When we're afraid, we're more vulnerable. In Landmark, we have a saying, "breakdown to breakthrough." When something triggers your buttons (and it will during this period), allow yourself a few seconds to: have faith that grace is abundant, hope (trust) that you'll get through it, and choose love over fear (have every action be an expression of love). And if, in being human, you loose it temporarily – sincerely clean it up when the moment has passed.

August 8 through September 7 is a challenging time if your Chinese astrology is Tiger. And remember, 2006 is a challenging year for dragons.

• August 3^rd & 20^th are the day with the lowest energy. I will personally avoid these days for significant activities and decisions.
• August 9^th is a full moon.  Generally, a good time to wrap up projects.
  But, this is NOT a good time for surgery or medical procedures. The pull of the full moon can cause risk of increased bleeding. But, bulbs planted during a full moon produce better results! 
• August 23^rd is a new moon.   Generally, a good time to start new projects.

The day we started working on the restaurant's Feng Shui, the Columbus Dispatch interviewed Abe and then published an article about his pies. They are yummy. The rhubarb pie tasted just like my Ninney's, and I could have made a meal of the greens!  The food is great, they offer carry out, and they're interviewing for staff (if you or someone you know are interested in the restaurant business).

• Mars is looking spectacular now! It is the closest approach between Earth and Mars in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000 years.
  
  Part of the energy we're experiencing now is because Mars is a warring planet. At the beginning of August Mars will rise in the East at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. The encounter will culminate on August 27 when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification, Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot.
  
  By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has
  seen in recorded history.
  
  So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month. Share this with your children and grandchildren. NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN! Thanks to Herb (a teacher) for sharing this information.
