~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Monthly Column: Be Generous and Marvelous Within the U.S., typically November is an election month. Remember to vote for
those who are pro-earth and our
environment. We can participate more with the international community in proactive and assertive measures. As an example, there are luxurious hybrid cars in other countries and we resist bringing them here. Why? We like comfort and want to help global warming. It's because so many depend on fossil fuels as their (or part of their) investment strategy. Energy is a good strategy, but we all know other forms of energy are crucial.
At a recent sculptor's gathering, I met a farmer who partnered with another family and they are using wind and solar power successfully. Why is that impressive? Because they say it isn't prudent in Ohio's
weather (sunny days in this state are one of the lowest in U.S.). He's a trail blazer! Back to voting -- I'm a firm believer there is no "us and them" and that's why I say "we resist" in a previous
paragraph. We are all one -- we breathe the same air, and live on the same planet. Your energy and actions affect me and mine affect you. Government isn't "them," it's "we the people are self evident." One of the
synonyms of evident is manifest. We manifest our present and future. Is that a scary thought? Your actions count. You make a difference! Read that again only substitute "you" with "I." Let it sink in. Now
say "I am a magnificent and generous human being." I know you are because you care enough to be reading this newsletter about Feng Shui and energy. Say these phrases to yourself aloud every morning. Many times we look
for reinforcement from others but self talk is more powerful. Manifest a new environment, a new future, for you every day then notice if you attract more positive energy and abundance. Think and be positive, and the
world responds. What we put into the world finds its way back. Also, continue to think positively about where you live and work -- sustainable and renewable when building, renovating, de-cluttering,
eating (our bodies deserve it too)…in your daily activities and thought processes. Encourage others to as well. It's not difficult to help change the future. One small gesture today
can have a great impact tomorrow. Relate something as simple as picking up a piece of trash, or recycling one water bottle to the future of our children and grandchildren. They deserve it. Do what's right versus what's convenient, and send that message to our leaders!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Question of the Month: Are oriental decorations required for Feng Shui? ~Tim No – oriental style decorating is not a part of classic Feng
Shui. The use of money frogs, statues of dragons, Chinese coins, red tassels, etc., is more about Asian tradition than classic Feng Shui. In classic Feng Shui we strive to balance colors and shapes that represent the
five elements. And, we work to reduce the adverse affects of sharp corners or arrows. It is even extremely rare to use a mirror in classic Feng Shui. Since each structure is unique and each set of occupants is unique,
the Feng Shui should also be unique. Thanks for the question, Tim! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Tip of the Month: October's Energy On 10/8/06, we enter a new element
that goes through 11/6. Flying stars influencing this period are six - hard metal month, in a three - hard wood year, in an eight - earth mountain 20-year cycle. The monthly and yearly energy shows potential problems
for youth, legs, accidents, headaches, and injury resulting from metal. So, be a defensive driver and use caution when walking on metal stairs. Also, since we celebrate the fall harvest and Halloween here in the U.S.,
and this involves treats for the children, have their harvest checked before they consume anything. I don't mean to presence bad energy, and a few years back they found pins and needles in candy. It's that kind of
energy now. Be proactive and minimize risk. The good news is this month's energy shows improvements for money and finances. The monthly Chinese astrology sign of Dragon may experience even more challenges
this month since it's the Dog. Remember all of 2006 (2/4/06 to 2/3/07) is challenging for Dragons because of the year of the Dog. So, be extra cautious and avoid major decisions and risky behaviors. First, let
me first say I am not a financial adviser. I evaluate energy trends and weigh this with Eastern and Western philosophers who I consider to be leaders in their fields. You should seek the advice of a professional before
making any changes to your portfolio. If you aren't already, begin a conservative approach in your investment strategy. The economic trend isn't positive (looks to be December 2007 through July 2009). Like
any rock pile, sometimes we need to sift to find the jade, so there are positive aspects to be had. Do your research. Some predict a recession in 2007. But, I look to make it a fabulous year. If you know me or have read
my newsletters, you know 2007 will be a better year than 2006! The energy blueprint of the buildings you work and live in can empower you or work against you. We enjoy it when an investment produces good
rewards. Feng Shui and energy may seem intangible, but it can produce tangible results. Just check out our testimonies
. Just like those who suggest gold as in investment strategy (predicted to double next year), Feng Shui helps to reveal gold amongst the rubble. Now, do me a

Full moon – 10/6 generally good to wrap up a project. Not good for surgery or medical procedures due to risk of increased bleeding. Also, bulbs planted during a full moon produce better results!
Poorest energy day for the month is Saturday, 10/28.

article. The final logo result is the auspicious
combination of red and gold, and yet subtly incorporates all Feng Shui elements. The circle and square simulate the Chinese coin and combination of heaven (round) and earth (square). We combined an organic feel
